I have nearly every upgrade... Iam playing this game for a very long time ^^ For lower difficulty you are right and yeah, later he is a really strong hero. But his early sucks, when a lot of enemies spawn early.
The problem I have with him, is that you have to kill yourself to avoid the bad early game. If you die, you come back with 66 gold and with 66 gold you are in his strong phase.
Thats absurd and shouldnt be a thing...^^
He needs to be good enough so you dont want to do that or (/and) "fix" this thing, that you get more gold after dieing... ^^
Or get lucky with literally any other weapon from the start. Coins, that are supposed to be best for him with all the synergies, are the worst weapon in the game. Get hit once and its a snowball to death.
gold coin flame aoe. (dont take endless purse) coins everywhere with huge aoe :3
or
Cooldown reduction + endless purse, having 300-400 coins makes your chest ultimate go down to like 19 seconds
he is Risk/Reward character.
dont get hit = good run
get hit once or twice and u should just Retry :-I
He should be weak at some point, that is just balancing. If anything, they should remove his "revive to get coins" tech in order to make him a really hard character, but I can see why people wouldnt like that when there's people that can barely play him as he is.
Talkor is not just "not useless", he is a killing machine. He is the easiest character on expert difficulty even if RNG is not on your side because his coins start to hit for few thousands of damage when you have a lot of them, and if you are lucky to get some synergy artifacts he becomes unstoppable on any difficulty, artifacts like "Mirror Mirror", Twin Blades, Last Breath and especially "Greed" which gives % of damage buff equal to number of coins you have. And I usually finished level with with him having 400 - 1500 coins, this means 400 to 1500% of damage buff to EVERY weapon.
The only thing you must do with him is not being getting hit in the first couple of minutes, after that he become stronger than enemies and it's becomes really easy to avoid any damge.
