Having issues launching the game

Whenever I try to launch the game it either crashes/closes on me or locks my computer to a black screen

Dunno what else to say other then I checked and I meet the minimum requirements to run the game. This is literally happening as soon as I open the game and it's not giving me any feedback

You could offer information like:

— Is it the first time you're playing and the game has never worked?;

— Had you been playing normally until, suddenly, the game stopped working?;

— Are you playing the open branch or the beta branch?;

— Is there an error message?

Things like that.


But to not leave you without an answer, a couple of things you could try:
- Run the game directly from its folder, instead of via Steam;
- Run as Administrator.

Thank you I'll try those and sorry I thought it was somewhat clear but yes this is my frist time even trying to play, there's been no error message, and I should be playing on the open branch since it's the default yes?

Yes, yes. Play on the open branch. That's the safest way 😁

To be honest, I don't remember seeing someone having issues right of the bat.

Have you tried looking here in the forums, on older posts, to see if you find people that had the same issues?

I gave it a cursory glance and tried searching for posts with launch in them but didn't come up with anything

I've also finished trying what you suggested and running it in admin got me something more that being rather then just closing out or the like the screen went white and it gave me a not responding prompt it also shut off the night light/blue light filter on my computer for a moment but most games do that so I don't know if it's related to the issue

(I had games that struggled really hard when I had the HDR mode ON, for instance)

Well, since you haven't played the game yet and you literally have nothing to lose... Why not try to go to Beta branch and see if it works, just for testing purposes? 🤔

whelp I tried that and it gave me some sounds I also saw a window with the game logo and a loading bar for a moment still crashed out tho even crashed the steam window I launched from

might just have to wait for more optimization as I'm def close to if not only just barely at the minimum requirements
