I've yet to do an endless run and always just do the ROG mode. Would you suggest doing endless on an easy difficulty or something? I enjoy ROG mode but the problem is the games are to short to build a lot up unless you go into higher difficulties. If I do that though I'm afraid I won't survive long enough if I just focus raising attack speed lol.
For passive talents you should go for Arcane Beam - Talent, which gives weapons with the [Area] tag up to 35% attack speed when it's maxed out at level 4. I usually run Crystal Sword as my active talent since it has the [Area] tag and helps you get more exp for more levels, along with the Katana passive talent for even more exp as you overkill enemies. Cleaver (Damage and Projectile Size for [Melee] tagged weapons) and Death Aura (pure area size increase, max of 45%) also help.
