Maybe Earnest is right and they both use the same asset store ?
I don't know that's why I figured I'd post and maybe if it was something original that was copied the dev would at least know about it.

Even the character rog itself is a free use asset, not sure if from the same artist or someone else but I've seen it somewhere on itch.

Yeah I still have a few placeholder assets from the super early day (Mushroom, goblin and worm) that are from assets pack.
This is the reason the Giant worm got a redesign (which took 1 year to animate as it was non-urgent) with update 0.10.
For rog itself, it was based on the free assets linked by Dorim, but It got redraw since then.
All the new content added since EA release are custom made for R:G (to avoid this sort of issues and to make the game more unique)
