Overgeared sucks

I have finished all other achievements.
I tried overgeared once and realised.
The amount of time I have to spend farming items to finish the challenge is insane.
Im not looking forward to this grind..........

Overgeared can be done with A tier equipment with at most some legendary mod, and can be done without A tier Soulshop

You can do this particular challenge at any point really, I did it with C-ranked random stuff I grabbed from the 3 runs before it (slight mistake on my part, my chest piece was giving me something like 0,004 power to start with, thankfully capped at 0,01 minimum). Getting additional weapons via a shop makes this one a joke tbh, without even caring for what weapons it would be. Getting any of the evolutions is great and speeds up the run by a large margin but it can be done without. Fuuma shurikens or Jaald amulet are probably good picks to start as they only need 2 weapons, after evo grab a new level-up weapon then an extra weapon(s) from a shop.

arena's sometimes have shops that's how you get around the challenge modifier. Try to visit as many arena's as possible since you can't see the map modifiers due to soul shop locking out that upgrade. Chests for artifacts are secondary. Don't know if you can find the shrine of order event (unlocked from the risk of rain challenge), if you can it's worth to try question marks for it, a super overleveled main weapon can easily lead to victory in this format.

use the new talent Lunar Inferno, that grants damage from defense while halving your power multiplier. Get defense upgrades, it becomes an absolute crawl of a run in the final 2 zones but just takes some decent patience. My run took about 1h30 but would've been faster if I didn't mess up with that chest piece lol. Definitely play on quick mode if you don't wanna invest the time, though RNG might favor you more with more arena's in a normal game.

Highly agree the new gear mechanic is crap and makes the game significantly worse. It's great for min-maxxing but its just too much work for way too little bonus, yet you HAVE TO pay attention to it because it can have significant debuffs too.

Overall challenge was trash tier, possibly the least interesting while also feeling like a complete waste of my time. I'd rather play a normal run with max corruption at least that's challenging

You actually don't need to farm, i did it on my first run with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gear, you just start with Fire and Thunder Spirit (passive talents of weapons) and make Staff of Stroms and Artificer Katana, those will make the run easy.

Cooled steel is the current hardest one for all the reasons. Fun though... as long as you use gear like anything with a power + per level and can expect a grind.

so far entire range of normal c-rank challenges has been a breeze where u just afk and oneshot everything as normal rog

only on bosses u move but u still one shot them

thats also the case for overgeared, except the final zone

on the final zone my damage started to dip, at that point i started going all in into Rust ignoring everything else if possible and i started oneshotting everything again

what really helps is getting voidstrike gauntlets so u can cap your attack speed sooner, and now every 15 second u just push your dash button 5 times and then afk again, rinse repeat

1 hour 11 minutes 58 seconds, explosive bow and xbow 1st try

Well.... after Shopkeeper made this way easier than it should be, I am again feeling like "wel'll now I don't like it!! " (similar as to other challenges when you pick him)

At least I am not aware how any of the others would even get a Limit Break ,
yet Shopkeeper is already having an advantage here since he can run around and therefore work against the XP malus easier.

I've tried it with kunai-suspicious eyes summoner. is doable (i died to my own sillyness at the boss).
However the mansion is a pita because the eyes do more pushing of enemies than actually killing the enemies... the mansion certainly still needs some work...

I don't get the complaint regarding grind for this challenge. Top tier gear is not required by this challenge, it's just an option to make things easier earlier by removing the min level of gear. As others pointed out, grinding top tier gear is not required.
