Any Tips For Playing Shop Keeper?

Having issues getting any wins with Shop Keeper. He is just so slow in power scaling compared to the other avatars. Anyone got any tips for improving Shop Keeper's in game performance?

Not sure what you mean with "slow in power scaling" as he is the most op right now. Got 20mil atack power, maxed atack speed yesterday. He literaly gains 5-10 levels per level with the ability to buy things

If you don't have bonus money unlocks in the soul shop, Shopkeeper will feel very weak. If you do and he still feels weak, try going out of your way for crates early as they are better money than enemies.

And only take Old Coin if you already have high levels and Greed/Midas.

Make sure you go into game options and change "Auto Level-up" to "Manual Level-up", and only go up a level when you have enough gold to make the store trip a worthwhile one.

Also, don't hesitate to start early on Banishing cards, to optimize what gets offered to you, since you'll have a lot of chances to restock on those charges.

Yeah, I have a few tips.
1. buy everything you can, unless it is a really bad card
2. yes, he gains less levels than the others, but gets roughly 5 cards per level if not more, so it's better
3. avoid Old Coin, you need the money, not experience
4. don't worry about cards like Head Bash, like I said, money is where it's at
5. most of the strats that work for Rog Knight will work for Shopkeeper too

I still prefer the original character, but this one is also good, even if it requires a bit more thought and money management. GREED is an amazing card.

If you have the soul shop upgrades for tainted cards, a few hundred coins for 4 levels of a tainted card is the best value you can get, and you want to do that as often as possible.
Generally try to buy cheap cards directly, and choose the highest rarity cards offered when you buy random card selection. Don't pay 7000 coins for a yellow card when you can probably get it for 2000 coins from the random card selection.

Also banish banish banish, early and often. That's probably the Shop-Keeper's other best strength.

I haven't seen it mentioned yet but the Wander artifact (sell half hp at shop for gold instead of healing) is busted as hell as shop keeper , you can very easily build enough regen and damage mitigation early on to make this a spammable free money source.

You will need to unlock the wanderers trick achievement first which requires you to preform a gold glitch which gives you infinite money but will reduce all your soul coin gains at the end of the run so it's not worth using usually.

The easy way to pull off this glitch and unlock the achievement is to turn off all regen in the soul shop , start a run and avoid picking up any regen , in fact take cards like Blood Coat and Blood Pressure to reduce your regen even more. Try to visit as many shops as you can and save your money, you need to buy an item that reduces your max HP like Cursed belt or Glass sword.

The way the trick works is you need to be damaged when you enter the shop (this is why regen is bad), this gives you the option to pay gold to heal , now while you are in the shop if you buy an item that Reduces your max HP like cursed belt, it will lower your HP to the point where you are now no longer damaged.

For instance you had 290 out of 300 HP , you buy Cursed belt which reduces your HP by 50% , now you are at 150/150 HP but you still have the option to "pay to heal" except when you click it you get gold instead of losing gold.

This will give you the Achivement "Wanders trick" and unlock the helmet artifact in future runs.

Unlike the glitch , the helmet is easy to use , still gives you a ton of gold so you can buy out the shop on every level up and best of all it doesn't have the penalty to reduce your soul coins the way the gold glitch does.
