A look beyond our demo: Museums & Friendship 🥰

Hi there! Have you already had the chance to try out our demo? Then you might have fished up one or two peculiar looking items from a portal and asked yourself what to do with them… Or maybe you talked to some of the NPCs and would have loved to know just a little more about their backstory…

Well, after releasing and updating our demo, let’s take a glance beyond that and see what more will be waiting for you soon!

🤫Psst, there’s also a way for you to see these features in action already, we’ll get to that at the end!

📚 Complete the Museum (& more)

Now, you may have found yourself in possession of some fun trinkets like some rose petals, a bow, a feather, or… a toilet seat? 👀

There’s truly many things you may find in portals… But then what do you do with them after? 🤔

Well, you donate them to a museum of course! Because who wouldn’t want to walk around an exhibition showcasing a toilet seat on a pedestal? To us that sounds absolutely fantastic! 🤩

And that’s not all! There’s also two other buildings where you can donate and collect things you can find and extract (👀) in the world around you! Happy collecting! 😍

And how do you unlock all of these museums and collections you ask? Well, let’s talk about: Friendships.

🌹 Building Friendships

Nevar and the entire world of Leynia is certainly filled with a lot of quirky and interesting characters - and you’ve only met a few of them in the demo, that much we can definitely say! 🤭

But why is Dan as grumpy as he is, what are Bowies dreams and what is our familiar Raven’s journey until he met us? All of these little stories and character traits will be revealed to you, if you build up your friendship with the NPCs by gifting them some of their requested items! 🌹

Find them through exploring, talking to other NPCs and following the quests and uncover everyone’s secrets and passions one story at a time! 📖

And now: Where can you already catch a glimpse of all these new mechanics & features before the full game comes out? Well, some of your favorite content creators might just be able to play a little further than the public demo and share all this on their channels! We hope you enjoy! 🔮

game not saving progress

i played for an hour and clicked save multiple times, but when i tried to log in the next day it said create new game and all my game slots where empty :(

An update for our demo 🥳

Hi there! And can we just say: Wow! Finally getting to share a piece of this game we’ve been working on for the past few years has been absolutely incredible! First of all a big thank you to each and every one who already tried the Ritual of Raven Demo and wishlisted the game! 💜

As more and more people play it we have also been able to gather further feedback and tweak a few things as well as hunt down some more pesky bugs… 🐞

Let’s talk about it! 😎

🤖 Constructs no longer blocking each other

Up until now constructs often ended up blocking each other when working on the same field or even when close to each other. They’d just end up standing around swinging their little arms awaiting further instructions. Now, that can be cute for sure, but we do understand that it’s quite frustrating when you’re trying to set up your automated farm. 😮‍💨

Admittedly, this was a bit of a head scratcher for us until we figured out the actual problem might be the order in which they tend to the fields. Instead of always going from left to right (or top to bottom depending on how you’ve set your field), they now alternate directions to tend to the nearest tile! 🤯

So whenever they’re in each others way now, they’ll patiently wait but then be sure to continue on their path as soon as the construct in front of them is done with their task! 🥳

⚠️ For this to work in an existing save game, please pick up your field signs once and place them down again!

💾 Fixed Save Game Bug (hopefully)

This one isn’t as visually exciting, but definitely needed! Some of you reported that your game file was lost even though you saved your progress. That’s definitely not what’s supposed to happen! 😢

So we spent the past few weeks since the demo launch trying to hunt this one down… 🐞 And we ✨think✨ we got it! So hopefully no more lost save files! 🤞

LOVE IT !!! but...

this game is amazingly cute and the graphics are incredibly beautiful ! the cards-based automation mechanics make me yearn its release. it is going straight to the wishlist and i can't wait to play the whole game ! one inconvenience is that i got soft locked at the start of the concert... i had no other choice than to Alt+F4 which caused the loss of my progression. not a big deal and i guess it was the end of the demo so i don't think i've missed a lot but it was still quite frustrating. writing it ther...

Arrow keys instead of WASD to move character

First of all I loved the demo so much and I am looking forward to the full game. I was wondering if, in the full version, there will be the ability to change the WASD buttons to arrow keys to move the character ? As this is how I prefer to play and perhaps others too ?...

Controller Bug

I love the demo and can't wait for the release! I noticed a bug though: I was playing with mouse and keyboard and wanted to try playing with controller. After I plugged my controller in everything seemed to work fine until I opened the book. I could scroll through my quest list but when I tried to change the tabs/close the book the controller input was not working and I could only close the book with my mouse. After restarting the game with my controller already plugged in the bug did not occur again and e...
