Why nerf everything so hard?
First, I'm not a English speaker, please forgive my baby sentence.

Just my opinion, rebalance rune and add more upgrade aren't bad ideas, but the result is all character got a huge nerf, then this is the matter.

For example, my last run of 61 curse stage 1 with a full unlocked Elementalist, he had 36% Cri chance only when the run finished, I could push it to 100% before this update easily, and now there are a ton of trash upgrade in levelup, some useful upgrade like damage up, multi-cast, area up, frequency, Cri chance and damage modifier became rare, it make my character's damage very bad.

My Elementalist could finish a stage in 10 mins before update, but this time I spent 17mins, and I can't just walk for avoid bosses's tracing beam even my moving speed modifier over +80% after this update.

Anyway, I feel the game has become very slow, and I don't know why dev nerf it so hard.
This is a offline VS-like, I enjoyed cut all enemies like a butter, but now all enemies hard like a rock, and they're just suffering me.

completely opposite experience for me, game was extremely easy and its getting easier by the patch. you are just used to overpowered stuff instead of thinking with your head.

I don't disagree about the game was too easy, but if I want to play a slow, hardcore VS-like to suffering myself, I means, I have The halls of torment already...

You must be playing a different game then.

Funny how people that post this kind of stuff always has their games, hours and achievements hidden so people can't check what level they are on. I assume you are doing like chaos 0-3 with your comments.

I'm running Loop 4-5s at curse 50+. He's right that the problem is mainly a lack of critical analysis on the part of players. Most of the complainers don't seem to understand the math of the game and can't figure out how multiplication and synergy work.

There is no thinking in this game, it is way too easy since the patch. Was there free prozac given out near the devs office or something as the soul has been ripped from this game.

ah yes, i went and hid the games i play from public, as i or anyone else would give a f about it. has it crossed your mind that steam is at default like that and that i havent changed a thing since i made it? there are more things to life than altering steam profiles and games.
i didnt even know it was hidden until you told me, and now its public. wow!

and what about my comment is not to your liking? if you deny the fact that everything was and still is simply broken and that you can only die if you stand in one spot afk then argue with me on it?!

Just keep play it if you like it, but I bought this game because when other VS-like were about 30 mins per run, this game was 8-12mins, then you can run endless mode if you want, and that was the sales point, but not anymore, at least for now.

Everything seems way more powerful, i usually stuck to summons to clear everything fast but now even the worst cobbled together Slam build just deletes the entire Screen instantly

i have to agree with this one. the new buffs and multiplicators made things ALOT easier. i did multiple runs with multiple builds and characters on curse 61, also took them overlord cycle. some failed of course, but most of them absolutly destroyed everything.

I agree with everyone who says the game is now too slow. Too many pointless perks to chose from, too slow level-up, movement speed and dodge are joke now. Perks and abilities already existing seems brutally nerfed.
I really appreciate the the new character, skills icons and earth skills but every else is a big no imo. Just played a match with the beast master (or wathever is the name), it took 16 minutes to complete a single run at 61 curse where it took not even 6 before with the same skills and runes.
Please bring back the fast paced game it was before the update. I don't have the time nor the will to spend at least 15 minutes to finish a single run every time.

My own experience is a rollercoaster. One one game I kept getting ♥♥♥♥ upgrades and couldn't do squat, the next I just steamrolled everythign and unlocked the Monkey King fairly easily. It was a LONG run (about an hour), playing with the necromancer in both cases. I only have 20-something hours in the game, that was my first ever attempt at curse 6. Well, technically my 2 first, since the first one didn't end so well... At least it was short.

Second run gave me 28 ranks for my necromancer. Not too shabby for a beginner, eh ?

Why do you even play games if you don't even have 15 minutes to spare ?

not enought heal or movement speed for high level curse. that would have been solved with pure dps build in the old patch.

i always go with a heal/defensive combo in most cases.. people seem to forget that this new patch isnt the old one where you can just slap damage on to your build and go trough everything

It's not i don't have always time but this game was cool to kills time between other things because was pretty quick to finish a run. Not anymore after the update, so i'm not plannig to play it as much as before until they make it much faster as before the update.

I did have the impression the game was a lot slower at first... because I started with the Monkey King, with no progression yet, and was trying out the new skills rather than trying for a nice synergistic build. But my second run was an Overlord run with the thief, and despite some less than ideal rune picks (Lord's Bane not so great for Overlord now) and experimentation I easily got them to Overlord 6, feeling pretty badass the entire time. (Skill Chain having a 75% chance to trigger a high-muilticast Smoke Bomb or Shadow Orb every 0.6 seconds off the weapon starting skill...? Dude.)

In Overlord 6 I didn't feel like I was spending 100% of my time dashing away from boss attacks and still falling to unavoidable insta-kills. Having to fight off elites instead, in that small circular arena, is a nice change of pace.

Also I feel like a good Overlord build (mostly what I've been playing) is now a lot less reliant on filling your skill bar with buffs (Might, Bloodlust, Arcane Power etc.) because a lot comes from passives.

Some aspects do feel a little slower -- more XP required per level perhaps -- but I think I'll get used to it pretty quick.
