GPU overheating
The Game is fun.
Played the bete for several hours with no issues, but now my GPU gets up to 90°C so i wont risk continue playing.

Please add FPS limit option.
Running at 500+ fps ......GPU is melting.
Cant recommend until this option is added. thx

First of all, if your GPU is overheating simply by running uncapped, you have a major cooling issue, keep your computer clean and give it lots of airflow.

secondly, you always have the option of applying an FPS cap in your GPU drivers, use it.

Im not sure what GPU you own, but most of the modern GPUs are made to handle 100c+ up to 110c without any damages, such is the case for a 6800XT/3080, and older cards can easily run 90c without damages, it's nothing to be worried about in fact its normal for a GPU to run hot, or atleast as hot as it can before reaching 100% usage, otherwise youre losing frames.

and as the person above me mentioned you can use FPS caps set through your respective GPU fab software or even use RivaTuner or MSI Afterburner to set hard fps caps.

P.S. do u game on ultra low? I play on very high with a 5800X and 6800XT and often drop below my monitor refresh rate of 144

Turn V-sync on.

Yeah, turn on VSync. Why do you need 500+ FPS? Your monitor can't handle that. No monitor can.

the later stages really ramp up gpu usage ;)

I play on a 3080 on 3440*1440 - easy yeah?

Wave 1 - 144fps (VSnyc) - 40% gpu usage
40 Minutes later with like "my meele hits 2 screens 5 times a second"
56 fps, 100% GPU usage ....

Maybe bump up the gpu settings to lower and remove the visuals, after all your mad challenge chaser! This normaly helps in the endless or the curse runs

this is why my heatsink is external from my pc case. it is a 3 foot copper structure that allows my GPU to get to 300celcius. then at around 400celcius the liquid particles in the pcp board start to bubble but i have solved that by coating the board with flux resin adhesive

running 3090, set all settings to minimum, including opacity and all text and stuff, on endless 6 my computer shut down due to overheating xD

to be fair i had about 5h runtime in current session, but this is the only game thats been able to overheat it, WP :D

Sounds to me like people don't know how to optimize thier PCs, or keep them clean.

Spread Shot with every debuff imaginable at capped attack rate, brought my 3090ti to its knees rofl
game gets intense. ended up at 50-60 fps during peak mob count

Hey there everyone!

To add to this thread, devs are aware of this happening, specially with cpus performance as well on endless runs. What I can recommend that you do for now if you are having this issue is to try to enable V-sync and force your game to run at a lower fps rate (Cap your FPS) through your specific card's software (Nvidia settings/ Amd adrenalin, etc).

If you are curious to know more of what is going to change for the future about optimization, please check our newest patch here:

tried with v-sync, but still gets laggy as ♥♥♥♥ on endless 4 and on ( did run with curse 25, not sure if that made it laggier, probabbly) but my CPU didnt go over 50%, but GPU was at 95-98% constantly.

adding my rig if that helps with the problem solving :)

GPU - RTX 3090
CPU - intel i9-9900k
RAM - 64GB
DISK - M2 SSD 5000mb/4400mb
