But, this game does not have anything in the DDO store that you can throw money at and get a super character which is what I consider pay to win.
I'm not looking for PVP and I'm really interested in buy DLC and I'm talkiing about pay to get a SUPER CHARACTER BEST OF THE BEST WHO CAN BEAT EVERY BOSS ONLY FOR $9,99.
But as I said, some of the best equipment is in bought content. You can actually buy them for free (you earn 25 DDO points when you get 100 favor from doing quests). But that method would be the biggest grind ever.
Another thing that they are very fair about is, you can go VIP and do some of the raid content you haven't bought, then when that time runs out you can still use any items you had gotten, even though you no longer have the content. Just don't use a class or race that is VIP/purchased only because when the month runs out you can't play that character.
This isn't the case. There are five premium classes (two can be unlocked in the game), but all classes, including them, are pretty balanced.
This game isn't pay to win by any reasonable standards. There's a few cases where you can kind of maybe see it, but really it's pay-to-reduce-grind, pay-to-compensate-for-your-failing, and pay-to-receive-a-marginal-bonus-that-can-be-found-in-game-with-some-effort
Nice to hear it, I'm playing it and is pretty fun and don't look p2w for the moment
Open LFM, there's almost always something like phvU4 gr nd. Join it, and start favor grinding. Be able to selfheal, because pugs are full of 6 con halfling barbarians
Hahaha! C'mon its not that bad man! More and more people are starting to get it and they make better toons :P One big plus for this game is the community itself. Most of the veterans are more than happy to help newbies out, we all were noobs once anyway :)
The good thing with Turbune games is many content is unlockable by your own, but it needs a huge amount of time. And still the game is clearly enjoyable until level 14-16 for F2P after that you have to pay or grind like a nolife.
