50% of the game conntent is aviable afther pruchase.I played it was fun but when i got to point i have to pay for stuff i kinda lost the lust to play it.Paymet 1 time not familiar with atm turbine points, depends on changing stuff if they gona restrict some more or did last time i played was 2008.Probably stuff that wasnt restricted to turbine points. As for payment its instant with a visa card but probably you live in some place where visa inst easy obtained.Still game play is unique on its own even Neverwinter was different you will notice afther a bit play.Another one jsut looked at their page,if you subscribe monthly all is unlocked but if you cancel sub you cant use races and all that is connected to subscription. You better off buying turbine points to unlock all on your f2p accoutn and play without monthly fee.

p2w? You can't really "win" on this game. If you want to PvP, then DDO is not the game for you. For the best equipment, you get them through the new expansions content. The best thing to do might be to be free to play, but purchase the expansion. The expansion gives you access to content with the best items and epic destinies which are nice. Your character just won't be as good as others if you can't get into the end content.

But, this game does not have anything in the DDO store that you can throw money at and get a super character which is what I consider pay to win.

I'm not looking for PVP and I'm really interested in buy DLC and I'm talkiing about pay to get a SUPER CHARACTER BEST OF THE BEST WHO CAN BEAT EVERY BOSS ONLY FOR $9,99.

Money only gets you content, not equipment (minus things like XP bonus potions, extra bank space, Mana potions, etc). So I guess that answered your question then.

But as I said, some of the best equipment is in bought content. You can actually buy them for free (you earn 25 DDO points when you get 100 favor from doing quests). But that method would be the biggest grind ever.

Another thing that they are very fair about is, you can go VIP and do some of the raid content you haven't bought, then when that time runs out you can still use any items you had gotten, even though you no longer have the content. Just don't use a class or race that is VIP/purchased only because when the month runs out you can't play that character.

In simple words, no, this is not p2w. While some things can be aquired easier by paying, you can't get any real advantage over someone that hasn't. As you progrees in teh game, though, you will find that there's rather the need to buy some adventure packs since the free content just won't cut it after some point. Other stuff you pay for are cosmetic only, like pets and amor/healmet appearance kits.

This isn't the case. There are five premium classes (two can be unlocked in the game), but all classes, including them, are pretty balanced.

This game isn't pay to win by any reasonable standards. There's a few cases where you can kind of maybe see it, but really it's pay-to-reduce-grind, pay-to-compensate-for-your-failing, and pay-to-receive-a-marginal-bonus-that-can-be-found-in-game-with-some-effort

Nice to hear it, I'm playing it and is pretty fun and don't look p2w for the moment

You can earn premium content by playing the game. Wait for a sale, then nail it. You have to level anyways, so you're getting perks for just playing.

Open LFM, there's almost always something like phvU4 gr nd. Join it, and start favor grinding. Be able to selfheal, because pugs are full of 6 con halfling barbarians

Hahaha! C'mon its not that bad man! More and more people are starting to get it and they make better toons :P One big plus for this game is the community itself. Most of the veterans are more than happy to help newbies out, we all were noobs once anyway :)

Well its not P2W all that much. The things that you have to pay to get are only cosmetic, new classes and Different races even though many people pay for the add ons it dosn't make a big difference its just different stats and powers [Pericles6464]

You cannot pay to win the game. Not only that it is an MMO like sandbox game. the game makes far more money off of players that want to explore than if they added a feature where you pay to acquire equipment.
Tryskell 28 ENE 2013 a las 21:43
Itt is play to win since the addition of fate destinies, giving a huge bonus to people who unlocked it (1k TP). Some of the content is simply NOT reachable with ingame TP system gain (the last pack is 5k TP, it's 200 cycles of 100 favor ! One character F2P reaches something like 16 cycles max so you have to reroll like 12 times).

The good thing with Turbune games is many content is unlockable by your own, but it needs a huge amount of time. And still the game is clearly enjoyable until level 14-16 for F2P after that you have to pay or grind like a nolife.
