DDO store is controlled through Turbine.com
Both are unique Online retailers, its like trying to use an amazon.com card and Gap not going to happen.
Since, Steam wallet requires the funds from A CC or bank account use your CC at the DDO store.
If you really wanted to but the turbine points then you would just get them directly from the DDO store.
FYI - DDO isn't the company - Its turbine and its owned by WB games:
if you go into the DDO store (i mean, if you even play the game) and click the "PAY USING STEAM" option (if you read anything in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ post, seriously, put down your crack pipe) it leads to an error-19 page.
this isn't about using credit cards, jelly beans, turbine points, or anything else. this is a post to address the fact that their link for paying with Steam Wallet is not functioning. and from other users who actually pay attention and stay on topic, this has been broken since early december. And there has been no pertinant response from customer service on addressing this issue.
The error is STEAM denying ddo access to your funds. This has been mentioned several times. There is NOTHING that turbine can do - it is a STEAM issue.
The cynical part of me would say that steam dont like you spending money on things they dont get a cut from. You put money in your steam wallet and buy a game, they get a cut, you put money in your wallet and buy turbine points, they dont get a cut.
All it takes is contacting STEAM and asking them to unlock your account for in game transactions from Turbine and everything works.
Blaming DDO for Steams security is a waste of time. This is a STEAM issue.
And yes, I play the game, and yes, I have had the issue, spokem with both Steam and Turbine and Steam unlocked my account so that it doesnt happen again.
Hopefully, your noticing a common theme here. The issue is STEAM - not DDO, not TURBINE, not WB - The issue is all STEAM.
I posted Screen shots of my toon on my profile - Since i play outside Steam using the DDO-preloader.
OK: let me Explain this more clearly.
Valve/Steam is company A- Steam wallet is a cash account to buy games of the Steam Store.
Timewarner/WBGame/Turbine is Comapny B with an online store to sell good to players.
Yes you are given the option to pay using steam wallet: but err-19 = Steam is blocking the transaction request of the funds. YOU HAVE TO CALL STEAM TO AUTHORIZE the TRANSACTION. WHY?
This is happening because and outside Server is requesting funds and its being blocked becasue it can't be authenticated.
IF your turbine account can be linked to Steam the transaction could be authenticated.
That is why you are required to call steam to unblocked the transaction.
ITS called internet secuirty, that is why i said its quicker to purchase directly from the DDO store using something other than steam wallet. you don't have to be rude, this problem has ben around since DDO/LOTR started marketing on Steam.
LOL if you could read i told you how to fix the issue and what the issue is:
ITS not WB games its valve: something happens to your account that blocks external transaction from steam wallet. LOL if you could read: but clearly you are and ignorant racist and trolling for coonflict. learn to read you dumb ignorant racist POS, if i was black i would beat the living crap out of you for those comments.
again, you're missing the point here. we're not talking about credit cards, turbine cards, the turbine website, etc.
what we are talking about here.... (racist? show where i'm racist?) is how the
you paying attention here kid? i'm repeating myself for you. read. very. carefully.
what we are talking about here is how the STEAM WALLET payment function in the DDO store in game isn't working by default.
you get that? see.... no credit cards, no changing of sites, no stealing your neighbours car stereo, no skittles, no ice tea... we're talking about YOU PAYING ATTENTION YET?
HOW. THE. STEAM WALLET. PAYMENT. FUNCTION. IN. THE. DDO. STORE. DOES. NOT. WORK. BY. DEFAULT. you get that yet?
I could try translating this by playing drums and dancing around if you'd like.
again? why are you bringing up the race card? don't need to get all choked up b/c you can't pay attention to what is being said to you in small, simple words.
I could try to type slower if that could help you keep up?
If you boot DDO up through a non-steam launcher, when you go to the ingame DDO store you can buy points either directly through the Turbine store (the same one that is accessible on their website), or through redeeming a points card/promotional code.
If you boot DDO up through the steam launcher, the option to buy points directly through the turbine store is replaced with the option to buy them with cash from your Steam Wallet. Like so:
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=373205688
So, you click the button.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=373205809
Next, it will look up what deals are avilable for what prices and display them, like so:
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=373205932
So you select whichever one you want and click it
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=373206078
And it takes you to the steam in-launcher purchase thingy
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=373206153
The problem is, Steam is blocking you from doing any of these transactions, so it breaks the linking and the whole thing falls apart.
Why this happens: Some how a security feature gets triggered and blocks the transaction. Its a security feature that can't be fix, changed or removed it protects you from theft.
doesn't happen.
Rather:

so, if you read, that's the problem.
booted up through steam. downloaded through steam. try to buy points using steam, doesn't happen.
will i waste my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time troubleshooting warner brother's games default problems?
no.
3rd party game. like freejam/robocraft. problems buying in store using steam? NONE.
any other game, problems like this? none.
if its being blocked by steam, my guess is that this game's purchases cannot be trusted.
if the default setting in steam is blocking it.... then that's a problem that DDO/Warnerbrother Games / Turbine needs to fix, which, by default, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ customers should not have to do the work for them.
this is a problem that they should be contacting steam about to remedy.
not me. not some crack smoking kid, not Trolllordyoloswag360noscopes the forum troll, but the people who set up this initial deal for purchases from steam for turbine.
been almost a week.
and, this is the only 3rd party game from steam that does this.
seriously, every other game I have has never had this problem.
example: Freejam's Robocraft. an Alpha greenlit game.
zero problems.
I could go through the list of other games I have that purchases have been made where the game started as a standalone before being greenlit and accepted into steam and run by other companies outside of valve/steam where this has not been an issue.
But, suddenly, DDO comes up being flagged for transactions where every other title has none?
Airmech
toribash
deadbreed
Robocraft
all on steam. all with thier own stores, all with no problems.
dota2, firefall, warframe, cs:go, etc
also on steam. also with thier own stores, also no problems.
by default, DDO has a problem.
if you read properly, this is what I, and several other people have been telling you.
AND A WEEK OF NO RESPONSE FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE.
have contacted thier customer service a week ago. only automated replies. reply back daily to them with no answer.
trolls only answer to this is to phone steam.
nothing on steam about a solution to this either.
will repost daily until resolved.
