"You have reached your current Gold Limit of 0 Gold."

I'm guessing its a bug, but it sucks because I am burdened and can't sell anything to really progress.

Buy a very small item from the DDO Store and you will become a Premium account
Checking wiki[ddowiki.com], you need to buy something from the DDO Market, not in-game Store. Otherwise it's buying TP (through whatever means). Basically, real-money needs to be involved.

Prevents people from abusing the weekly coupon to unlock Premium for free [which was originally what was going to post before finding out it won't work]

As a L3 F2P, your platinum limit is 5,000pp. It will double when you level or go away entirely if you become Premium or VIP. With a current holding of 4800ish, you have less than 200pp of remaining room. The error itself is clearly... in error. Details on plat limits are here: http://ddowiki.com/page/Currency

If you have more than one toon, you can mail your other toon platinum (might even work to mail it to yourself) and simply not collect the email until you have levelled higher and your limit increases (note: there's a 21 day expiration on uncollected emails iirc). Other than that, you'd have to have enough Turbine Points to buy the Shared Bank Platinum Vault to store the excess (and if you did, you'd probably either be higher level or VIP, so that likely won't help).
Only other option I can think of offhand is to buy something from the AH that you can later resell to regain your platinum, whether at par or at a net gain or loss.

Thanks for the help! I would have been completely less confused if it would have said the actual Gold Limit, instead of 0 Gold. I will take your guys' advice!

Yeah, just buy the smallest amount of turbine points, and then you are premium forever. This will also give you a couple more character slots and 45 auction postings per character instead of 1.
You don't have to spend the turbine points. It will happen as soon as you buy them.

In my old guild on Khyber, we had a guy who refused to go premium, so he would have me auction all of the loot he found. It didn't take long before he couldn't carry the gold either.

I was F2P my first toon/life and never had this problem, but I was constantly investing my plat in new gear from the AH.

Could also stockpile pots as per the other thread :D

Yeah I can identify with that. When I ifrst started playing, I think I went through the tutorial, then stopped, deleted the character and bought the Drow race to start again. But even having gone Premium 15 minutes into the game, I never was able to maintain enough gold to be considered stable lol. It took many months.

Depending on the class, this is probably excellent advice. Buy expendable items (pots, scrolls, whatever you'll use).

I've been playing for years and just recently have accumulated about 3mil for the first time. Then I ER/TRed and started buying a few bits of gear again to fill in holes. At least now I don't worry much about the cost. If I need it, I buy it.

Temporary move is just spend your in-game Platinum till the burden goes away till you level up. Moving your account to Premium will fix it permanently but spends real money. If you have other characters, send the extra money to them, email the money but don't detach it till you spent some money. The Error is a feature of the game to make gold farmers life difficult and to annoy free to players, to get them to spend money.

This is really annoying for me, and they dont get me to spend money on the game, but to leave the game forever.
I'm lvl 3 and can't sell the loot i have! My inventory is full of s**t
I'm not trying to farm gold, im trying of test the game and see if I spend some of my money on it. But this is too much.
bye bye DDO

<shrug> On the whole, Platinum is less critical than it used to be. Used to be the gear that dropped from quests was lower level than the quest (and thus was essentially useless). The advice above still works: email yourself the money and pick it up when you're higher level or buy something you can either use or resell later (you might even pick up a profit in the process). And, of course, if you haven't yet picked up green, red and blue storage bags, you can get a free example of each from specific questgivers in the Harbor. The green bag will collect ingredients into a single inventory slot, red: collectibles, and blue: gems. Frankly, most of the collectibles you can simply toss. Only a few of them have intrinsic value unless you intend to invest in Cannith Crafting, and even if you do, they're seldom the limiting factor.. essences are.
