Issues with DirectX 12?

Running the game on a machine using DirectX 12 (Windows 10) seems to cause crashes and the game not working, but on my machine with DirectX 11.2 (Also Windows 10) the game seems to work fine. Are there any issues with DirectX 12 and DDO? I don't think specs are an issue because both machines where the game is crashing have better specs than my machine does.

install directx 11 on your machine. Also try running in compatability mode, preferably xp sp3. Also, check for updates on your hardware, espicially your graphics card. I'm sorry that all I can give you is general advice.

Eh this seems incredibly odd to me, is 12 meant to replace 11 instead of being an upgrade? It should be running in 10/11 regardless of your system being 12. Just like a DX8 game won't run @ 9/10/11 cuz it wasn't made for that ... I have Win10 with a 560 (Dx11) and it runs fine for me.

I had trouble with Windows 10, lags across the board. After I died once too many times I reverted to Windows 7 and all is much better

i have zero trouble with windows 10 & direct x9 through direct x12 though not all machines are built equal. Not like that matters much since the game has not even release a direct x12 build.

I have a windows 10 with DirectX 12 and it wont play for me either. And I can't seem to get DirectX 11 onto my computer either.

DDO has known problems with the graphics settings over Dx9 on some systems. If the launcher will load, try clicking the downward facing triangle, select Options, Repair, and Reset the game display settings. I think that will set it to run in Dx9 mode and fix your issues. If you want to test specifically, in-game, enable the higher Dx settings one by one and see what stops it from running.
