Feat: Point Blank Shot? (Ranger)
Guys I'm a lvl 2 ranger and I don't have the Point Blank Shot, I'm new to the game so I don't know how to get it. I have Rapid Shot but that requires me to have Point Blank Shot, please help how do I get this feat?? :Excalibur:

You get rapid shot regardless of point blank shot, because you're a ranger.
Rangers get a bunch of feats without needing to meet the prerequisites.

If you really want point blank shot, you could pick it up at level 3 when you get your free feat (one at 3/6/9/12/15/18/21/24/27 ).

PBS should be the first feat any ranged toon takes.. +1[W] damage is uber at low levels (at that point, it doubles base damage.. which at low levels means it comes close to doubling your total damage [at higher levels, the + on your bow is higher, the W multiplier increases and you likely add elemental damages, so the %age increase from PBS becomes lower]).

All that being said, PBS is not an auto-feat for a ranger. However, since those feats that are automatic for your class ignore all prereqs, you still get RS without PBS. Another example: a wisdom-based ranger/monk using Zen Archery still gets Imp. Precise Shot even if he/she lacks the 19 Dex required.

If you simply cannot wait to L3 to pick it up when you are next eligible for a new feat, you could always do Lockania's quest in the Market, which earns you a free feat swap and swap out whatever feat you took at L1 for PBS. I don't recommend it tho. Save Lockania for build mistakes that show up at higher levels when the cost of swapping a feat gets exhorbitant.

And to avoid this kind of problem, I recommend planning your toon in advance (so you know, for example, which feat to take at what level and are sure you have all the prereqs). Not preplanning can get you into expensive binds when you realize you missed a key prereq.

I use Ron's Character Generator (www.rjcyberware.com) to plan mine. They're in the midst of a complete rewrite atm, so the Epic stuff is thin and the Swashbuckler hadn't been added yet last time I checked, but other than that, it's a very useful tool.

Thanks for the huge info man!

A question tho, by "the market" do you mean the DDO Store? Or somewhere in the main city?

Market = Marketplace.. one of the 'zones' in Stormreach.
