DDO isn't launching.
When I launch the game the loading screen freezes before it completely fades into view. There was another game on Steam that wasn't launching either but it started working a few days later. This has been going on for over a week. I only have a few games installed from Steam and they are all working.

I was able to log in a couple of times after I uninstalled and reinstalled the game but it went back to freezing up where it had before.

I had to replace my router a few days before this started but it was working fine for at least a couple of days after it was installed. I had no previous exceptions for any game or program in my firewall and everything worked fine.

Given that it worked a little after a reinstall makes me think there is likely either a corrupt file or permission exception for the game that isn't working.

I'm going to try another reinstall but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

- There are log files in the DDO game folder, you can read them with notepad. Open the local file folder, sort by type, find text docs in types, read the x.log files, that are dated with current date and time. You might be able to find an error hint, if you read through current log.

- Try the repair option in the DDO game launcher.
Top of the DDO launcher, there is buttons : Community, Account, Support, Language (EN, DE, FR), Launcher Menu (V), Minimize( _ ), Close (X). If you put your cursor on the buttons it gives a description. In the Options there is Options, About..., Explore Screenshot folder, Explore Log folder. In the Options there is 3 tabs: General, Repair, Proxy. Look in Repair tab of the Options for the Repair button.

- Make sure your Firewall and active defending anti-malware programs have DDO exe files in exceptions.

- Make sure your are loading the game and running the game under account with admin rights.

- Use the troubleshooting compatibility options in Windows 10 or 11 OS.

- Many problems with the game stem from poor or faulty Network connection between your computer and the game servers near Boston, MA, USA. Read the sticky thread on the official forum, "Troubleshooting Connection Issues", "Understanding Lag" and "Game Connection Speed"

Thanks for the help. I tried several things but it appears that changing it from 32bit to 64bit fixed it. Which is strange as I hadn't messed with those settings before I started having problems.
How do I change it between 32bit and 64bit
- Try changing from 64-bit Client to 32-bit Client and back in the DDO game launcher.

Look in General tab of the Options for the Game Client section at lower middle of the window. In the Game Client section there is buttons for 64-bit Client and 32-bit Client.
