DDO Resolution Problems Q&A's
I am just going to list problems I have had/am having with DDO's screen scaling. I saw that the 64bit Client was launched and i was playing on legacy/ After swiching to 64 it cut out on 3 sides of my 1920x1080 on my 4k "smart tv". after i tried using the legacy game Client it did not revert to as it was before sleecting the 64 bit and i am trying to fix that. One of the reasons for playing on 1920x1080 is due to the lack of UI scaling and that the graphics card doesn't throw a tizzy due to the lack of multicore support on this program.

Will post updates on fixing the 1920x1080 problem and any other solutions i come across:

Tv and Nividia control settings solutions do not help due to the "smartness" of the Tv which fights me and changes its settings when my Nvidia is not set up the way it currently is.

For a while now the DDO launcher/updater was the size of a standard playing card, i found out that setting DNDLauncher.exe Properties>Compadability>Change high DPI settings> High DPI scaling override System (enhanced), turns it into a scaled up version appropriate for the screen size but may not fix the small text.

Do not mess with dndcliant.exe nor dndclient_awsomium.exe it can break the launcher.

Direct x not being detected has 2 solutions re-installing it and selecting a different directx in settings, when rapidly swapping between DDO clients the directx detection can mess up swapping your directx to another fixes it and iso can restarting your computer.

Cannot find a way to fix it, being forced to play on 1920x1400 which works on all 3 DDO launchers since i wanted to beta test the 64 launcher and there is no solution i can figure out ill just text the launcher on that setting. Yes i have searched the DDO forums that listed to try and play with the compadability settings.

Have you searched this forum? I don't have your specific problem so I haven't taken specific note, but it seems to me that others have addressed issues with playing the game on high-res monitors before.

Why, yes for that is the first place any one worth their salt would look.

You'd be surprised how often they don't.
