Why bother moving a character to another server and then move back to the old server, both moves most likely cost store coin. if you are taking about friendships with other players on the old server then you have to refriend them later, better keep a paper list.
I'd expect that anything 'left behind' will be purged. Why would they maintain stuff against the incredibly slim possibility someone might move the same character back?
I was planning to join them and do a few past lives, then when they stop (and they will) i would have come back to my main server.
I just bough feywild collector a few days ago so i might just create another character so as to not lose my pets, but i would prefer to improve my main character, as i don't play a lot myself.
Understandable. Expensive, though. Costs about $20. for the transfer, iirc. Would it not be better to convince them to join you on your server?
You said your friends "will" stop playing, but they're playing again now right? So what happens the next time they decide to play again? Are you going to go through the whole Transfer ordeal again? Best to just create another character on 'their' server and be done with it.
Having a second character isn't a bad thing, even if you only play from time to time with your one main. At the very least, it will net you some more free DDO Points due to reaching the Total Favor thresholds that are on a per server basis.
Quit what while ahead of what?
