Preview cosmetic armor

I remember being able to preview cosmetic armor on my toon, but lately that doesn't seem to work. I think it tied with the ddo store being forced to open in an external browser. Does anyone know how to preview armor with the current set up? When clicking preview on a cosmetic set now it just opens up a blank tab in the browser.

i think the feature was broken when it opened to an external browser. i just don't think they have revisited it since. i thought it was awesome you could look at the stuff. it also could have something to do with ddo store having a face lift too. for a while guest passes weren't available. (those are back now and it includes first 4 expansions too) just like there is no cart atm.

That preview npc is still in the armor / weapon shop off the main square in the Harbor (the guy beside the large mirror), does he still work?

I don't think so. I went there and tried, and it still asked to open the DDO store in an external browser when I tried to preview.

they disabled it almost 5 years ago something to do with it glitching out and allowing people to have the cosmetic display even if you changed armor. this was back when cosmetic's were directly applied to your armor. when they changed that it kind snapped.

they said they would look into it "SOON" but all that means to a vet like me is "Ya ya we get to it if we feel like it" when it comes to stuff like this. IMO they it and never looked back
