What worked for me was this:
1 - Right click the game in steam library.
2 - select "Browse Local Files"
3 - run ddo using the file "DNDLauncher.exe"
4 - For me, when I opened the game store in the character select screen, I was able to choose to use pay pal instead of steam for the transaction. hope that helps. ;)
As for those who need to go through their steam wallets, i understand your frustration, but you are going to need to exercise patience. They will fix it as soon as they can, as mentioned by an earlier poster, as it is part of their income stream. However, fixing these kind of issues is often not a simple matter of clicking the fingers and hey presto...sometimes its more like 'which haystack did i loose that bloody needle in' ;)
Update 46.4.2 Release Notes
Here are the Release Notes for Update 46.4.2, released on Friday, September 4th.
News and Notes:
Players running the game through Steam will now open the DDO Store in an external web browser. This change will resolve an issue where players were unable to make purchases using their Steam Wallet.
Thank you for the heads up, Doug. (My Steam wallet would also thank you, but it's going to be spanked, tomorrow.)
But they have not! I keep getting directed to system browser in my case is Microsoft Edge.. and it keeps saying to allow all cookies. I did and still NOTHING! PLEASE FIX THIS!!!
