Then test the mic using the option in the Audio settings and adjust gain and such.
Those are the things that spring immediately to mind.
Unfortunately with audio it either works or it doesn’t so you have to just keep checking things until you find the culprit. But it may very well be something little like suggested in the posts above.
Assuming you have windows...Make sure to check the windows audio mixer after starting DDO and make sure it’s not muted. Windows also has a built in audio troubleshooter you can search online how to run it for your version of Windows.
