Switching weapons
I have the toolbars configured so I can just click on an icon and switch weapons, however, The swords always go to my rigth hand. How can I my it go to my left? Yes trying to do a two handed fighting style.

You may have missed an intermediate step. On your Inventory, below the 20 item slots are 2 sets of 10 green boxes (10 per page.. scrolls left/right). These are your 'weapon sets'. A weapon set can include a single weapon, weapon and shield, two weapons, weapon and orb, etc. Trick is, first weapon you drop on the green box is your mainhand weapon; second is offhand (unless you're dropping things that only go in one hand: orbs and shields will always fill the offhand slot, for example). Once you've arranged your weapon sets, drag THEM to your toolbars and you'll have the effect you want.

Put in the weapons in the character sheet the way you want it. You should be able to just drag and drop both weapons from the character sheet to the toolbar and it will remember it.

The separate issue that only small weapons can fit in your Off Hand. So you cannot have two longswords etc. You put the One Handed weapon in one hand and a Light weapon in the other. Lefthanded character trait don't exist in DDO.

You can absolutely put any one-handed weapon into your offhand. However, your to-hit penalties for TWF are increased in the event that you put something other than a Light weapon in offhand if you haven't taken the OTWF (Oversized Two Weapon Fighting) feat.
