Misery Peak - Ice Spiders
Just got back into this game. Trying to solo Misery Peak with a level 2 Fighter. When I encounter Ice Spiders, I can't really target them to attack. I just sit there staring at them while they attack me. Am I missing something? (Note: This has happened each of the 3-4 times I've attempted this.)

They're naturally sneaked. You can swing your weapon at them. There's many more stealhed creatures in the game. High listenwill lead you to see red dots where they move and spot will let you see a shade of the creature.

Thanks. Turning out auto-attack and continually tabbing let me attack them. Figured there was a reason for this behavior, and not a bug.

You don't have to have a mob targeted in order to swing at it. Many (most?) of us turn off auto-attack and hold down the left mouse button when we wish to attack. There will be times when auto-target and auto-attack will do you wrong.
Haven't played in a bit. But I found that the easiest solution was to bring a henchman with me.
That or run the in town quests up to including Elite and you'll move into Misery Peak at lvl 3 or even 4 if you do the outside quests at Elite too.
