Download the DDO here > http://www.ddo.com/en/game/download
If your game client not running on Windows 10, try:
- Loading C++ 2005 and .Net Framework 1.1 from Microsoft website. They're no longer auto-installed by Windows Update on the latest Windows versions, and last I checked, DDO doesn't handle the dependency well.
- Look in the DDO directory for the 3rdParty folder and run all the .exes you find there while the game Not running and under Admin rights account.
If your game client not running, Try:
- Downloading the game loader from DDO and run it over top of your faulty install directory as a Repair. Or just uninstall and then reinstall fresh.
If you cannot see your characters in character select, try:
- Reseting graphics back to Default from the Options > Repair on DDO launcher. Then Set graphics to DX9. Use the Detect Optimal Graphics button. There is a bug with Intel graphics and DX10 doing that.
If your DDO is loaded from Steam, The Verify Integrity of Game Files is greyed out and would have NOT help you on repairing an updated DDO install, only good for checking the launcher when you have problem with it on a New install.
Try running the file TurbineLauncher.exe or TurbineInvoker.exe in the DDO directory folder.
Make sure your Firewall and active defending anti-malware programs have DDO directory in exceptions.
Make sure your are first loading the game and running game under account with admin rights.
Today was an update (server down status), so if you were trying to update during then that would be bacause the servers weren't up and going through an update
