Feats, enhancements, gear, levelups, tomes, spells, potions, etc can all raise a stat from its initial value with no upper limit (except that governed by available options).
you can get any of your stats 40+.. idk if 100+ is possible, but I know u can do that with skills
I did buy a +6 Strength, Constitution, Intelligence, and Dexterity tome for the character. I plan to buy a Charisma tome next, to help with the Breath Weapon DC.
I was bored and had nothing else to spend my money on, so it was either the stat tomes, or some gap toothed hooker... I chose the tomes instead.
I am trying to create a semi-decent melee / caster build, mainly for solo play, via the Divine Crusader Epic Destiny tree, because, at some point the toon will run out of SP in raids and wilderness environments.
When that happens, your ♥♥♥♥♥♥, no matter how high your DC's are. To me, it is important to be able to have some basic melee capability, ready for when the innevitable happens.
Point being however, that you can get over +50 in a stat if you spec it right. You can even drag stat points over between builds, in the Epic Destiny trees, using the twists of fate.
This is what pisses me off with stats though.
That toon can lift the equivical to 6 single decker busses... But he still fails Strength checks if he goes near a bear trap...
Also, that's using the DDO carry limits, which are inflated over normal D&D ones for MMO convenience. By standard 3.5 carry weight, he can lift a bit less than one over his head, or pick up a bit less than two, but he'll be at max load for the former and drastically overloaded for the latter.
But he still fails strength checks at bear traps...
A single bear trap V a single decker buss, and the bear trap wins...?
I don't think so.
If bear traps are that good, why aren't the Twelve throwing them at dragons and laughing in their faces?
I like jumping in and about the bear traps in the shar cultist map, or in the kings forest to bait mobs...the only 'grace' the traps have is their resetting to let you try again..and again..and again...
Besides, bear traps are a Forgotten Realms thing. Not many bears on Xen'drik, after all. They don't like the jungle much.
Though if we ever get to go to Khorvaire, I can only imagine what they've cooked up to deal with the Horrid Magebred bears around.
