I can log into the DDO website but not the game

I played DDO many years ago, at least 5+, and I am trying to log into my old account (which is still active in LOTRO) but it is saying there is no active DDO subscription when I try to log into the launcher. I then went and logged into the DDO website with the same username/password fine.

Isn't this game free to play? why can't I log into the game using my old account info but can log into the DDO site with it? BTW, the forgot password link just brings me to Turbine which I can log into fine as well...

Apparently LoTRO and DDO aren't connected

Yah, I know that LOTRO and DDO are different, but when I did play DDO a long time ago and I swear that I had the same username for both, maybe not. But when I can log into the DDO site with what I remember the DDO login to be it makes me think I have it right. When I go to reset my password it just sends me to Turbine and I can change my password there but it is not working in DDO. Maybe I just am not remembering my DDO login since it has been so long...

If you can login at myaccount.turbine.com (have they changed that yet under Daybreak?) but not into the game itself, contact support. Sometimes they have to manually activate accounts from LOTRO so they work in DDO. Dunno why.
