Game is stuck, can't progress.

I'm at the scene just as John throws the hacky sack at the lighthouse. I wandered around looking for memory links and kept walking around (even back to the first area with the transparent car and the platypus doll inside). As I crossed a tree-log back to the area where John and River are, my game gets stuck. The music continues, I can move the cursor, I can go to settings but I can't get to the menu (either by pressing ESC or right clicking). I'm just stuck right as Rosalene hops off the log. I can explore any other area before jumping onto that log; once I try to cross it, the game sticks.

Has anyone also encountered this or have suggestions? I don't have any other saves. Kinda bummed because there's absolutely no way to progress in the game like this, given that the memento for this scene is past the area where I glitch.

Ah, sorry that happened dragon! The game should've auto-saved right around that point, so even if you didn't manually save yourself, you should be able to load that and continue. c: It's the last save slot (4th). Hope that helps!

Also, it might be best to use the other log when you continue just in case (there are 2 to get to the other side with).

Whoa, did not expect such a speedy reply. For clarification though, I actually did use my auto-save (the 4th slot) to get to the area because I didn't have a manual save, as I didn't expect the glitch. I made a manual save after loading up the auto-save just before crossing the log, and neither saves let me cross.

Butttt that was okay, because using the 2nd log as per your suggestion worked perfectly! Out of curiosity I went back through the "glitched" log, crossed it over again, and had no problems. Thank you so very much for the quick and helpful reply! :D

They are attached to the first post. Maybe you cannot see them if you aren't registered in the board?

My characters also became no clipping at this scene. At first I thought it was a feature to go to the moon since there are stairs of light in the sky and mentioned hackysack where the lighthouse shines but apparently it is a bug?

I have all five gems but don't know where to register them.
