Those stuck in the Escape Mission, READ THIS!!

For those who are stuck in the mission when you get back in the real word (in an alien mothership), and escape on Kenzie's space ship, and you start driving the space ship, you might get stuck in the last part of the mission when a series of gates are being closed and you have to turn the space ship 90 degrees (by pressing RB and LB if using an XBOX 360 game controller). If you're getting stuck in that part, simply reduce the game screen resolution from the main menu, and the ship will accelarate and you'll get past each gate before it closes. This might be a bug or a performance issue on some systems.

This worked for me.

There is a mod at saintsrowmods that will skip this portion of the mission so you can continue if you can not get past the gates.

huh??? this was the easiest thing to do ever, i just flew thru them no issues first try......why are people having a hard time with this i dont get it

This is not just "oh people have crappy leet gamer skillz" things like this are also affected by the performance of your system and possible game bugs.

I have an older graphics card that was messing up the timing on this mission. To fix this, I set all of my graphics options to the "Low" preset. The mission finished smoothly (Even on the Hardcore difficulty) after that.

As others have said, if your framerate drops too much in that mission, the gates will actually close faster than you can reach them, making it impossible to get through.

Interesting, i simply flew thru - collision here affects only "shield" indicator, without destroying ship.

For those who can't get through even on the lowest graphics settings, this is the solution: Press TAB, open extras ---> cheats ----> add cheats ----> and type fastforward. That's it, activate the cheat, speed throught the gates and enjoy your game. This is the eastiest possible way. Just don't forget to turn the cheat off later since the game won't save while it's on.

Going into windowed mode and making the window smaller helped me for speeding the whole thing up.

Do it normally untill you approach the door part, then turn the cheat on. Worked for me on the first try
