Is anyone else having trouble getting gold on the mayhem mission you do for Keith David?

Geez no matter what I seem to do I can't break 670k, and the expected amount for gold is 800k

Is there a strategy for the blackhole gun, or should I just git gud?

My suggestion is to spam the gun once you have it fully upgraded and have infinite special ammo, then run around and destroy fences to rack up combos. Then just spam the gun and sprint around some more, it's really just trial and error

If you have super sprint with tornado upgrade in that mission, you don't even need the gun.
Just run your ass on the sidewalks, and you'll be making the Gold target in half the time allotted.
This trick works for ALL the mayhem missions where they let you keep the super sprint.

I tried sprinting this one but could never get it, after fully upgrading the gun I followed some advice I saw elsewhere: walk backwords in the middle of the street and fire the fun constantly behind you (I alternated firing to the left/right side of the street and at cars). Easily beat it with this method. For the sprinting method i've seen some people recommend staying on the sidewalks.

The sprinting method didn't work for me on that mission. It works really good in the telekinesis mayhems with the thowing balls. You just hold the ball out in front of you and run down the sidewalk.

I think you don't have the sprint tornado in that mission, so that doesn't work.

A fully upgraded black hole gun makes this mission quite easy. Just fire everywhere, sidewalk, cars, inside the broken shillelagh. There is tons of small stuff like trashcans, chairs that will allow you to rack up a high combo, I managed 204 in one try.

I have the fully upgraded gun, but I'm pretty sure something is wrong. Whenever I fire at a bunch of cars or something, they disappear without adding to my score or combo. It's really frustrating.

Stupid Question: You didn't happen to run out of the activity area, did you?

No. I stay in the activity area, but for some reason if I shoot a black hole into a crowd of cars, all the cars disappear (giving me no points) but the people in them are now flung onto the street and they get sucked in instead.

Try walking down the middle of the street and then fire one shot to the left side of the street and then your next shot down the right side of the street.

As also suggested upgrading the gun helps too.

That doesn't help when the cars glitch out and disappear without giving you any points.

is gold even possible without upgrades? i don't have it unlocked and trying to get gold is p*%#ing me off.

[edit] GOT IT! i used the coastal road instead and got it on the first try.
