d3dll.dll component missing

Hi

I have tried to run the game, instantly crashed (before launching) got slightly further but am now getting a message saying d3d11.dll is missing. Anyway to resolve this other than downloading the game again (haven't got the quicket connection and don't fancy spending all night waiting for it to download

No need to download the game again.
You need to install DirectX. It's located in "YOUR STEAM FOLDER"\SteamApps\common\Saints Row IV\_CommonRedist\DirectX\

That error is specific to DX11 so its either your GC doesnt support DX11 or your running Windows XP

DX10 should still work for DX11 games as long as your video card supports DX11 as its backwards compatible and will just run in DX10 mode

Actually, try right clicking the game in the library > properties > local files > Verifiy integrity of game cache.

I had a directx problem with it. I use vista which only goes to V10 normally. I had to do a work around to install 11. It worked then. Shouldn't really make a difference though, the min requirments are 10

Ian can you give me your workaround for installing DirectX 11 please - I have the exact same problem with this game and I really want to play it.

and what if that folder is missing from the game folder the game works but crash on the mission of retrieving mat where you get to the ship with him then the game crash so if the folder you mention here is missing what am i suppose to do
