I don't remember where I read this but I read a comment from the developers where they stated that according to testing data, few players listened to The Blood and would usually change from that station quickly when they entered a car. Due to the expense of licensing music it made sense for them to instead get more tracks that would be more popular.

So there's your reason, although it doesn't make metal fans feel any better. I didn't listen to it much myself but I did appreciate the fact that it was in the game. I don't play many open world games but of the few I have played, SR:TT was the only one that had a metal station, and I thought that was cool.

I suppose that makes some sense.. on the other hand it looks like most people that liked Blood hate most other stations. I like all kinds of things, but my friend that only used Blood is going to curse like hell.

I wonder if they'll release more stations as DLC or something. (I don't think so, because of licensing costs, but I can dream). I would pay for more radio stations.
I love the classical station in this one, especially because Zinyak is the host.

Imo, The Blood sucked. Might just be because I don't really like death metal unless i'm in a particularly emo mood that week. I'm just glad I have an excuse to listen to the classical station now. Zinyak reading literature with Jane Valderama and discussing some of the great classical pieces of our time? ♥♥♥♥ yeah! Gimmie that ♥♥♥♥!

APB (All Points Bulletin) tried to do this whole upload your own music thing where others (it was a mmo GTA type game) would hear whatever you uploaded.

Thing is the recording industry is so anal about priating music that you had to verify files, which even if they were ripped off a phyiscal store bought disc, would never verify. Also the other person had to have the exact same track verified to hear what you are playing.

It was pretty nice to upload my own music and play it in my car during mayhem. Too bad the game itself sucked.

I switch around, seems the stations they do have are a bit better than last game, if you like that type of music at least. I do want an 80's station though, not sure what it is about 80s music and crime.

But no, i dont miss the Blood. There was like one or two songs on there that i wouldnt immediately change, just not into death metal.

Yeah, I miss The Blood as well. There are a couple songs I like on The Mix but the radio stays off mostly. Might have to try the classical station to hear Zinyak's comments though.

I was mostly a blood listener it didn't have many songs I liked though which was a shame. I pretty much play with radio off in this game. I have noticed while runnign around and whatnot there is this super low abckground music that will change based on what youa re doing. If you are super sprinting down the street you will hear something, then when you jump (if you jump high enough) it will change again, and if you go into a logn enoughg lide it goes into this weird mystical sound. I really like it actually.
