"Zero Saints Thirty" Mission Outfit
At the beginning of the game everyone is wearing that Spec Ops outfit. The Boss, Pierce, and Shaundi. Shaundi's outfit obviously shows her gender (female, duh). Now, the boss's outfit is male. To me, this is a slap in the face because Saints Row is about creating your own character and doing things your way, and by doing this, it implies and assumes that your character will be male. At least in SR3, the beginning outfit was gender indeterminate. This isn't a game breaker, just a flaw, oversight, or lack of care by the game's dev's. Please fix this by allowing us to atleast pick our gender before the first mission (and make the outfit gender determinate) and then change the characters appearance (and or gender) afterwards. Or, just make Shaundi's outfit gender indeterminate. As I said, not a game breaker, just a bit of a diservice.

NOTE: This is my opinion. No raging please.

Man, if you be caring about THAT? Well, you haven't seen past the prologue so I'll give you benefit of the doubt. But man, that's such a small thing. So tiny.

Wow, you SR players are a classy bunch of folks.

I noticed it too, since I've always played female Bosses, but it was just "haha guess they don't care about us as much" and then moving on with life. In SR3 they went to a bit more effort to make the outfits gender neutral as I recall, little disappointing they didn't here but it's like 10 minutes and then solvable.

Thankyou for the level headed comment :)

I made a female character and then the suit looked female to me. Only during the missile part did I think "oh wait, it's generic."

Yeah, and I wouldn't have had a problem with it being generic if Shaundi's wasn't so obviously female. As i said a clear lack of care on this part of the game.

Shaundi is an established female character who needs a suit that can accommodate her size. The Boss in the generic suit could be flat-chested. The suit in the beginning of the game with the mask is designed to be very generic - and special care was taken not to have The Boss speak in the first mission as well. There is no way to design a generic suit which can fit the vast customization system - think about the size options alone - it is the best solution to allow players to get to the action immediately while still providing the option to play a custom character. The vast majority of players want to play first, then customize, so this is a good solution - which has some flaws, but hopefully the ability to customize and other attention to detail makes up for it.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback.

You have to restart steam in order for that to change.

I completely agree with OP on this one, it was kind of an immersion breaker since I play female only. But I can bet everyone beating up on OP would be whining if the MC had defaulted to female body type. Misogynist hypocrites.

So, what you're saying is that all flat-chested women are not actually women, but men? Nice job insulting women. The developers aren't going to put hours into fixing something that one insecure person finds fault with.

Nice job putting words in peoples mouths. The model for the boss is male, therefore the clothing is male. Nobody's saying that "real" women are busty. Well, appearently you are. On average, women are more slender than men, it has nothing to do with bust size. You are taking things out of context.
