Question about experience and in-game shops

So i've noticed that when I go buy clothes or other accessories, some of them give some extra XP. My question is - I need to wear them all the time, in order to get the extra XP, or I just need to buy them, and keep wearing whatever I want?
Or I understand it completely wrong and someone can explain me why some clothes have XP bonus :D

The more shops you own the lower the price of goods & services ~ & the more you buy from said shops grants more respect & XP ~ Some items just have a higher rating ~ Oddly enough it is the ladies gear that have the highest respect vaues.

But you don't need to wear it, right? You need only to buy them to get the XP, not to wear it?

You are correct, no need to wear it.

Still you can change it again 2 minutes later.. It is the buy'n that earns the credit.. Dress & drive what ever you like
