Dubstep Gun vs Dubstep Gun Remix?
Which one is more powerful?

I have the normal gun with almost everything upgraded and I got the remix dlc yesterday so is it worth spending money again?

They have the same DPS. Although the eplosions come at different times, if they hit the same number of enemies, they'll do the same damage.

But each song has a different pattern. Some hit with more explosions within a short time, then have less eplosions, some have the eplosions more spread...

You can experiment with them to see which patter (or song) you like the most.
