every 10 seconds i get a pop up called epic or something, i keep canceling but its very insistent. i brought this game a while back and this was never an issue before. i see other are having the issue and it still hasnt been addressed, so i assume it is an intentional bitcoin miner or something installed by a rogue developer. i went ahead and reported it to steam for you so that you have that information.

nah dude, its a bitcoin miner or something. look at the name "epic", it has to be a 6 year old somewhere who got in to the devs system, you wouldnt call your virus "epic" or anything you produced, unless you were a kid.

i'm running the legacy version through proton. not one peep from any epic launcher anywhere. the DLCs are running without issue as well.

We are using the same service so as i do not have any popup every 10 secondes like every other people here ( else it should have been reported many times here ), i think you are using something else ....
So like i told you , do not download unknow stuff from internet and take care of you , do not abuse...

We allready all know that nowaday that the OTHER ( enemy ) is now the china republic and this is why there is so many bullshiters and scammers in this forum when the real enemy of theses people is inside their country, sad but true ...
But more serioulsy if you do not press the ok button when you click run the game, it won't install the epic store program.
