Anyone actually able to play this game since update?

i can. had to downgrade and it kept updating. but it's ok now minus mods making it crash, using legacy version

My old saves are missing, and any attempt to start a new save results in the game crashing. It's become a glorified start screen for me

looks like deep silver fix everything, i had problem at first but after they fix broken saves and legacy version it's all okay for me
i dunno about the re-elected version but the legacy version is working fine, you should try it too

It ended up working for me by unsubcribing to all of my workshop mods

After switching the game version back to the one before the epic games update, the game loads fine with the mods I have installed, but it freezes gameplay every few seconds. I tried uninstalling my mods and have the same issue.

Ever since the update, mine crashes to desktop after the main menu while loading the game. no error message.

Yea, I played through the entire campaign, to 98% (just missing the coop stuff) Had a few issues towards the end, but overall no issues.

@sj_490, install a steelport emulator of some kind, that frequent lil "freeze" is the game trying to contact the no-longer-existing steelport server.

Edit add: So just having a tiny emulated "server" on your local machine for it to connect and stay connected to will completely fix that issue.
(We're taolking mere KB's of filesize, it also allows for saving/loading customizations incase you're interested in that for whatever reason, achievement or otherwise.)

Never ending loading save game...

I guess if anyone still cares about their old mods they would update them for the newer version or just run the legacy version with their library options, beta selection option.

I would not expect old save games that were save with any mods to be compatible with the newer version, so anyone having issues based on that might have to go through great lengths to get their old save game to work.
