Saves not working ?!

So it all worked until this damn update..now i feel like my saves not working anymore ...any fix for this beside start a new game ?!

Currently none, could hope they'll fix it since they did promise in their marketing campaign that you'd be able to load your saves.

Starting a new game isn't even working for me either. It will still crash during the load screen. I have no mods installed.

Check at the continue screen if you have any auto saves still in it. If you do not care about progress of old saves delete it all and than try again.

If you do care either back-up the old saves or wait until this mess gets fixed and hope that the save files are not corrupted.

I already tried this, I removed all my saves and turned off steam cloud and tried new game and it immediately closes, I re-verified as well. This new update pretty much made the game unplayable on my end.

Guys, i just uninstall the steam version and install epic games version. gamepad is working, no crashing. Sad that they messed up for everyone with this update.

Since it's free on Epic I was curious to try it, and yeah that version works without issue.

Oh? I have the exact same issues regardless if it's the steam or epicstore version.
(Which is crashing on loading any save that had dlc's granted, aswell as crashing when passing the campaignpoint where you receive access to your owned dlc's in past versions atleast.)

This is confusing me now, I moved my steam saves into the epic version and they loaded on there with no issue, so I re-saved and moved them back and now they are working on steam. So it's working for me now, this update has been really weird.

Another thing I did was de-select all DLC on my account for the game, when I loaded the save it said I was missing DLC but it was all there despite that message.

My game is also crashing on loading a save. Minidump file was generated in the game's install directory. A Memory Access Violation.
EDIT: If anyone else is using mods that modify .vpp_pc files in packfiles\pc\cache, you're going to need to reinstall those mods.

yes the 'update' do "SCREW up most files........so we may have to 'remove the save game...and restat the game 'with no save files on the computer
