Matt Miller Mission Glitch! [Please Help!]
I kinda mentioned this on another thread, but I'm not sure if anyone (developer or otherwise) reads that one so I'll make a new one. I've gotten to the mission where you have to retrieve Matt Miller and when I get to the part where you're at the turrets my ship gets stuck and won't allow me to continue the mission. I can shoot the gun, but the ship won't move. I've Googled for help on different forums to see if others have the same issue and I've tried what they suggested but I keep coming up empty. I exited out the game and reloaded and it still got stuck. I saved a new file and it still got stuck. I tried offline mode and it still got stuck. At this point I don't know what to do. I mean... can I even get a refund if it's THIS buggy? But, any suggestions are much appreciated.

have you tryed reducing all your settings to get better fps? seems like may issues in this game are related to that

That's like going to display and switching everything to low, right? I tried. Didn't work, still got stuck.

Retrieve Matt Miller. I don't remember like the core part name, I just know it's called Retreive Matt Miller when you click it.

is it the cyberspace mission or the mech one?
Edit: it's the 2nd one. I tryed to google for some solutions. First thing first are you using mods or cheats? Have you tryed completing some side quests and turning back there? Some people mentioning rocks blocking the way, I never noticed that myself but it could help.
They also mentioned to not use any explosive from the mech.
If everything else fails and you still want to play the game anyways, there's this collection of save files hosted here: https://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum/threads/saints-row-iv-autosave-collection.5045/

Same issue as OP, but no cheats or mods were ever used and ALL side missions/DLC side missions/activities/distractions completed (if accessible from this point). Framerate at a solid 60FPS throughout. The ship clips a pillar on the right side of the tunnel and gets stuck. Where you aim can influence what position the ship gets stuck in, which is interesting.
(Note: this is a GOG copy of the game, which is updated)

Interesting that where you aim influences that. That's so.. dumb to me. I've replayed that mission so much I'm getting sick of Matt as a character altogther and just rather him get eaten by the aliens lol. But, I decided to just go to the link provided by Arondight because even after doing all those suggestions and not having a cheat or MOD installed and still getting stick I just downloaded a MOD to skip the mission completely and advance without it.

My initial theory was that there would be a position allowing the ship to bounce off the wall and continue, but the best I could do was send it further down the wall and get stuck somewhere else without further manipulatability. You mentioned a mission-skip mod? Where can I find that (that isn't the Steam Workshop, as, y'know, GOG version...) I can also confirm the "don't fire explosives from the mech" and "don't use the mech's guns" theories are useless.

This one here. Though it skips the mission for you (aka it's already completed) you'd have to restart a lot of side missions and other things that you've already done as well as change your character. Since the saved file is from someone elses game. I think you start off at like rank 9 with $2,000 or so and have to build up from there. It's slightly annoying, but better than replaying that Matt mission for the 8th time.

I found a save editor, but it's only for Xbox saves. Link here: https://gamebanana.com/tools/6288

I used the fastforward cheat and it worked. Those that are stuck here, try that cheat. (Obviously don't save over your legit file, make a new one, but you'll need to play the cheated save until a definitive fix is made/found.)

EDIT: The cheat got me past that part, but then my ship is literally sucked TOWARD a pile of rocks out of nowhere, and i'm stuck again.

I'm not familiar with the fast forward cheat but would it allow you to fast forward the mission altogether?
Parzival Wolfram Jul 15, 2018 @ 9:27am
No, it merely makes everything run faster.

Did you try reducing your resolution, though? There's a glitch in a couple of other parts of the game where the only way to get past it is to reduce the res to something really low, like 800x600. (It's not a function of FPS, so don't scoff.) You might try that. No guarantees, though.

If you have the Christmas DLC it seems like there's a map conflict and 2 maps (the one here and the second map from the DLC) are loaded together, so problems arise from that. Specifically, the ice spires on the outskirts of that DLC's 2nd map (the village area) are what the weird rocks on the side of the flying turret section's area are, and are what I collide with, among others according to screenshots I've seen. The 2nd mission from the DLC is broken due to the conflict, as the Matt Miller map is loaded in that mission alongside the proper one, causing non-solid buildings to obscure your view and kill targets to spawn in the ground and infinitely fall.
