mop nap
i've tried foe over 2 hours to read the map. i guess o don't understand. https://imgur.com/a/iylk6jI

Don't use the pathways. Use the symbols.

It's as simple as the leg bone's connected to the hip bone. Aka, follow the plants marked on your map.

It doesn't make sense when you start though as the first area you come to when you go in the forest has a green and purple plant where as the mop map states its an area with a purple plant, which there is none. It was the same with my one. My mop map was no way as in depth as that one. The directions it tells you follow don't work and i ended up finding the tree by accident. This is a weird puzzle

No, it's not. It's as simple as putting a round shape in a round opening and a square shaped object in a square opening.

Just look at the flowers, mushrooms,flytraps and the pathways. It really is as simple as that.

No symbols on my version of the map...Do they only appear when playing a certain difficulty?

Yes, it's you. Everybody else was able to navigate the maze with the help of the plant symbols.

I've read the symbols only appear in hard mode...

Casual mode has no symbols. In that case you just use the exits according to how it is painted on the map.

Hard mode has the symbols.

If you don't see the symbol you are looking for on the screen, take the next available one that you see on the map.

I spent over 2 hours trying to through that blasted forest in Casual mode. I had to mute the damned "I seem to have lost my way" comment. My partner came in, looked over my shoulder at the map, and guided me through in 2 minutes. :steamfacepalm:

I need Google maps to go to the corner store.

For the map you've uploaded (it will be different if you start a new game) you should:
1. Take the path into the forest.
2. Take the path by the purple flowers. You'll emerge by some fly traps.
3. Take the path by the purple flowers again. You'll emerge by some other purple flowers.
4. Take the path by the fly traps, and emerge by some mushrooms.
5. Take the path by the fly traps, and emerge by some mushrooms.
6. Take the path by the fly traps, and emerge by some more fly traps.
7. Take the path by the mushrooms, and emerge by some fly traps.
8. Take the path by the mushrooms, and emerge by some purple flowers.
9. Take the path by the fly traps, and emerge by some more fly traps.
10. Take the path by the mushrooms, and emerge by some purple flowers.
11. Take the path by the mushrooms, and emerge at the mop tree.
