win11 2021!
why win7 now! 🤷🏻
Or, I will try to setup a MacOS VM on the big boy and play from there.
Dorky workaround.
Resistance to planned obsolescence is generally seen as a pro-consumer stance, similar principle to "right to repair". Microsoft also made the claim that Win10 would be their final OS, to be updated as they develop further - this was not the case and we now have Win11.
To the one asking why windows 7? Maybe because not every human in this world have the same opportunities than you, probably??
You know that it is still possible to run a free upgrade to Win10 as a genuine owner of a Win7 or Win8 product key, right? And Win10, in opposition to Win11, runs on the same hardware as Win7 and Win8(.1). So there is no financial reason not to upgrade.
I am using softwares really old that wont run on windows 10, I preffer windows 7, but I will have to update my windows just because I want to play it. Some of them made on the 90's. And my PC is not the best, I tried windows 10 before and I had enough issues to downgrade it. Just the fact of using windows 10 was enough to crash my computer, several times. I lost so much time and work because of using windows 10 on this computer, so much time... That blue screen was a real pain. There are more reasons.
