It's a Monkey Island game

For everyone being sad about the art style let me remind you we get a new Monkey Island game. Art style looks great, I myself like artstyle from Curse (or even Escape) but I get it that it wouldnt be an easy option to get an expensive artstyle and make the game as indie.
I am sure the game will be great!

I love Monkey Island and I like the new artstyle. It is not fanboysm, just a matter of taste. And I think that this artstyle works well.

I am disappointed with the way the art style looks, but the game play itself looks good. I preferred the art style of The Secret Of Monkey Island and Lechucks revenge, but at least we are getting Return To Monkey island, so that's something to look forward to. At least they have stayed true to their roots and kept it as a point and click interface and hasn't moved away from that unlike some other point and click adventures. Also it is being done by Ron Gilbert, music by the original composers Michael Land, Peter McConnel and Clint Bajakian. Not forgetting of course Dominic Armato reprising his part of the iconic Guybrush Threepwood. So although the art style might not look much the other things that make Monkey Island Monkey Island are there. Just hearing the music on the trailer had me smiling and reminiscing about the good ole traditional point and click adventures. I for one welcome Return To Monkey Island with open arms and hope it does well. I love you guys

What gameplay? all i've seen are cutscenes and people walking. Have you seen any object interaction? Looking at those backgrounds what even is an object?! what would you pick up? The backgrounds are flat and empty. I see no interaction with anything whatsoever. I see no real gameplay.

I made this post just to remind you that the game's budget is probably not the same as previous games, so we should be glad we got a new game since it was probably the only way.

There are tons of new indie andventure games with smaller team and budget than this and they look 10 times better.

This is the 2nd worst art style I have ever seen!

But it's Ron Gilbert so hopefully the story and the jokes are great. Thimbleweed shows he still got it so I'm not too worried.

Timbleweed was amazing until the cop out at the end which made me tell everyone to keep away from playing it. I did really enjoyed the game until they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up hard.
