Forest labyrinth bugged? (casual)

I've gotten the map and following the directions but when it says to go up, it just says I got lost, I tried going left as well (the only other option) and it just says the same thing, I've tried every other possible combination but it's not working.

I'm playing on Nintendo Switch if that matters?

It is not the orientation on the map. Right on the map does not mean right on the screen. But there is another indicator shown on both map and screen you need to compare.

They're playing on casual, so yes... up is up and right is right and so on. Not sure what might be going wrong. But you only mentioned two possible directions. You should have three.

How is the Nintendo Switch version as I have been playing this on PC over and over I Love it!!!

Yes, I cannot get past the forest on easy mode. I follow the map and it never works.
