Anyone gotten all trophies so far?
Now that i did my first run through out the game, i've thought about starting a new run to get all but the speed run trophy.

There are a couple that am not entirely sure how i did not get, (Ex Beginning Chapter 2) - I don't want to get a walkthrough on how to get the trophies but im thinking finding some list where i can actually understand which trophies can i get on what chapter

I'm well on the way, just 4 more to get.

I've found it's worth creating a save at the start of every part, as there are a few parts you'll have to play through several times to unlock an achievement. You'll need to complete chapter 1 4 times, and play chapter 2 twice for example, as there are several items you can use to solve a puzzle, and you'll have to use them all for the achievement to unlock

I just got the speed run achievement in my third overall playthrough, so that's all 39; game is patched. The speed run was hardcore, I just barely stayed below 2 hours and I did it about as fast as I can. No idea how people do this in 90 minutes.

Part 4 is the killer for the speed run; there's so much island hopping, and it's easy to leave a location whilst forgetting to collect something, and have to go back. I got it on the third playthrough too

Going back and forth between islands was crazy, it finally got a little easier once i figured out i could just M from anywhere to jump into ocean map mode and move on with the game

Thank you so much! this helps me a lot! Are there any achievements that are locked for either easy or hard mode? or can i achieve all of them in hard mode (except speed run of course)?

Yeah, same here, though I cannot have lost more than 5-10 minutes to backtracking, since island hopping can be done pretty quickly if you double-click everywhere. Anyway, it's done. ^^

I got all achievements in full monkey/all puzzles mode, so nothing is locked to casual mode.

Also a chapter save helps with missable achievements. For example one of the copies of the 'At The end Of The Plank' book you have to click on is in the cave with Herman. I didn't realise that the moment you picked up the key, it started a sequence which removed you from the cave, with no way to get back in it. So had to replay the whole chapter again, and this time remember to click on the book first before the key

In my case:
  • Playing in casual mode
  • Running all the time
  • Skipping every dialog and cut-scene possible
  • Trying to minimize trips by doing everything possible in any given location before moving on
But even though the last point didn't always work out, I stayed well under 2 hours and got the achievement first try (and after playing normally in both hard and casual mode).

Maybe that's it, then (ignoring that people will have different play speeds anyway); I did all of that, too, except that I played in full monkey mode, since I did not want to change to unfamiliar ground for the speed run.

Most certainly. Casual mode is very similar except puzzles have fewer requirements in most cases, which in turn reduces necessary trips a lot.

Oh Hooo!
Now that isn't speedrunning, that's world RECORD hardcore speedrunning boy.
I like how people train for sports, just going to the gym to train there bodies in general while the weirdos over here look over every nook and crany of a game to find time savers and skipple moments.
Maybe they were able to spam the dialogue faster or didn't do some things like in the pre-chapter what Dee send them out to do.
I respect those people not breaking their body boundaries but their will and dedication to beat a time.
Then later you find out a new strat as discovered so you must apply it to keep your leaderboard spot :)

Right, casual mode, didn't really think of that.
Forgot about the whole thing.
But yeah that must be a huge time skip/safe.

Oh yeah, forgot about that: You do have to buy the scurvy dogs, but everything after that is optional, you can just run straight to Guybrush.

I am gathering trivia cards before I move on with the rest of the game so I am still in chapter 1 after I give Corina the eyepatch.

Trivia hunting will probably be easier when you have access to the other islands, since there are fixed locations where cards may pop up and you'll have more ground to cover while waiting for cards to respawn in a certain location.
