If you go to where his house used to be on the map, Guybrush makes a comment about it and the pulley system being gone. Disappointed that we didn't get to see him.

It's a pity Captain Smirk also wasn't in the game. Also, I wonder what happened to the old shopkeeper. Maybe Carla finally had enough of him and decided to run him through.

Judging by the note on his old store in part 1, he just got run out of business by Captain Madison. But I can see why Carla wouldn't be eager to help with that one. She deserves to run him through, honestly.

They are mentioned in a conversation with old pirate leaders if you have writer's cut enabled.

Rubber chicken puzzle still blows my mind to this day. I figured that out by random when I was a kid lol.
