How do you save the blood ravens in last mission?

Seriously how are you supposed to save the blood ravens in the last mission? foes keep spawning even if you destroyed all their structures and the AI is terrible. On top of that the last boss is so stupidly poorly designed. At this point only mods can fix this game. but srsly in what where the devs thinking?

Destroy all the bases to reduce the rate at which enemies spawn, then rush to the last boss. By doing so, I finished the mission before too many Blood Ravens died.
