Imo buying the switch version to run on yuzu with a decent PC is the best experience.
4k, upscaled tex, 60 or even 120 fps....there is even a mod file to remove bloom if you want.

Funny story: initially the vast majority of people complaining it being utterly broken came from people who pirated the Switch version and emulated it.

While there may be some issues that were faked/caused by the emulator, that is not entirely true: https://twitter.com/MogoDoesStuff/status/1434433791313932289

I thought it was said that those videos came from hacked switches also running out of date firmware.

Which is a very likely possible... Since at launch the Switch was a seizure time bomb.

That's what I thought at first, like I thought ppl were trashing the game for the Switch version.

Nope. Most of the reported problems I've seen are also present in the other versions. King K's review on it, in particular, was based on the PS4 version of the game and he still had a lot of issues with it, some technical and others presentation related; almost none of which were a problem on the original Wii release.

I've seen multiple reports of save data corruption as a result of game crashing bugs regardless of platform, though I'm not sure if those have been fixed by now or not.

The only glitch I'm aware of that's exclusive to the Switch version are the seizure inducing visuals, though I believe that has been fixed by now.

People keep saying this, but I remember things quite differently.
There was one person around launch, who faked a T-posing Sonic in Colours Ultimate on Twitter.
They admitted to it, and got bullied by Sonic fans off the site.
Deleted their tweet and account too, if I recall.
Other than that, I haven't personally run into others who faked bugs at launch.
But everyone kept saying bugs were fabricated... with no proof.
If anyone here could prove this to be wrong, and show me more evidence, I'm all ears.
Requires digging through Twitter, which in itself is a long dig. But yes, there was a particular case where someone faked bugs, someone got caught faking it and admitted to it.
A superficial search however reveal that, yes, people were reporting bugs of questionable nature too, more specifically emulator:

Thing is, the articles you linked only show bugs that did in fact happen on real hardware.
It all comes down to a he said she said situation. Even articles fall for this.
Everyone's saying bugs were faked, but no one can point to a source.
If it was so wide spread, to the point where everyone was talking about it... where's the evidence?
In your face.

The only bug I've seen that was proven to be faked using a Switch emulator was, in fact, the T pose glitch which is a lot more minor than all the other bugs I've seen that were proven to be real not just on Switch, but on other platforms as well.

You know, stupidity doesn't excuse blindness...

Quick aside: we've seen some graphical issues that were caused by an emulator which is unfortunately outside our control.

Trying to figure out what bugs are legitimate can really slow down the QA process. If you're having issues, please do flag them here: https://t.co/vymOVVEyZp

Because it has been discussed means it can be similar but maybe not same.
It's like anti-piracy when it trips on emulator and real hardware. It can be similar and same, or similar but not same.
Also there's a Legacy of Ys bug thing but is a story for another time.

Poor remaster, but not the worst. Amazing Sonic game though. My only issues are stick shift and sometimes unresponsive controls/stuttering at the beginning of stages, but the latter could probably be fixed if I used my SSD instead of my HDD.
