The vast majority of enemies in the game don't have enough crowd control abilities to prevent the player from freely disengaging from combat at will.
Not everything should be elden ring people, games are different, if its not your cup of tea go your merry way and thats it.
The only people defending the lack of dodge were people who played mostly the b*tch arse classes that had a dodge button.
I’m fairly certain the last game didn’t have one. Only class with an active ‘dodge’ maneuver is the thief vocation. But fighters can guard, mages levitate, archers can use enemies as springboards to reorient. In this game its less about every class having an iframe dodge to get out of any situation, than it is knowing what attack is coming and…making sure you aren’t there when it lands.
The trolls are everywhere but again you give the game too much credit. Don't get me wrong I think the game will be fantastic but trolls are here to do one thing and that is to create chaos for their own pleasure even if said chaos is only in their own mind. They believe they are causing a disruption and feeding their dopamine addiction.
Some people just want to see the world burn.
The real people with problems are the ones that can't help themselves but to respond even knowing it's a troll also to feed their own addictions in the need to white knight or back seat / phone in some sort of a sense of social justice.
Yeah, after a few weeks this is really the only one I've even bothered to post in. At least it has half an argument in it.
Correct, the thief vocation has an active dodge maneuver that's always available (believe you press R1) for DD2. Its in the game and easily....seeable. I don't think it has iframes though, but I can't really verify that.
Most classes in first DD1 has some kind of lunge or sidestep/backstep attack skill or jumping skill that could perfectly be used as a dodge. Sure, they weren't dedicated dodge moves but they could be used to dodge to some extend. Pretty similar to what people does with charged greatsword attacks in Monster Hunter.
And if memory serve me right mage or sorccerer had some kind of short range blink spell spell or something like that. In DD2 Mages can literally fly around for some time and cast spells while doing so.
actually you know what I dont care, I am disabling notifications right away because I got no interest on reading the reply of a crybaby or anyone that supports this foolishness. Have fun typing a reply I will never read :P
