What devs really needs to fix is higher difficulty moving up in NG+.
And don't remove the fist bumps, cause it is funny.
Funny enough, this becomes important later on as this help checks on your pawns "health". You'll understand the more you progress as to what that means.
Oh really? i didnt know that, well like i said never played the first one and im only 15 hours in just exploring the world, but why do they have to do it almost every fight? sometimes i just leave them hanging with their fist out and walk away LOL
That is really it so much of the extra quests are given by walking into, finding, or talking to some random NPCs. So I can see it being very possible to effectively ignore most of the exploration and just sort of bee line to the end. You can make a very functional build out of just one or two vocations and most of the difficulty speed bumps can be overcome with hiring high level pawns. Then if you never played the first game and did not learn about the "real" ending to that one you would not have any idea about the true ending in this one so you could get from start to throne ending the game without ever seeing the unmourned world
DD2 relies on the player being interested in side quests and exploring to get a lengthy playthrough out of it. If someone isn't fully engaging with side content like that, 20 hours is completely reasonable.
Not sure why people find this fact so controversial when it comes to DD2 specifically. DD1 was the same way, and The Elder Scrolls games have been doing the "5 hour main quest" for decades. People aren't automatically suggesting your favorite game is bad by saying it can be beaten in less than a day.
this.
Pretty much inline with also skipping bakbattahl except for the 4 required missions, because the monsters there are not going to get beat up by level 25 characters or equipment.
Generic and volcanic Rockrattler are basically immune to slash damage period, no matter what level you are til like 55 or so where you have enough generic pierce to break the threshold, so "omg so easy level 25 and done"
You did not beat unmoored much less save everyone at level 25. not even kind of.
Dont beleive what they write.
So, I can start a NG+ or load an Inn save before the last part to do more.
At this point, I'm not sure if I want to return to do more. Maybe if there are some changes to endgame or some of the tedious and frustrating mechanics.
