How do pawn quest work exactly?
So....how do pawn quest work exactly really? I mean kill a cyclop and get gold (in my case often 5k) and....what? Nice for me when I get the 5k gold but what does the person that put up the quest get in return for that?

Because I read and also saw myself now, that I myself have to provide the items or gold for that specific quest in exchange of my given quest. When I say I wanted to collect 5 golden trove beetles and they collect them, do they lose these in order do fulfill the quest or do both players profit and the questgiver gets the 5 golden trove beetle in return of my offered items or gold and the player who did the quest can keep the items collected and additionally gets the quest reward?

I've read that this is kind of a tradesystem but who would trade golden trove beetle? I've somwhere read that they are limited?

Please enlighten me so I can understand it better because google is not of a help here really:steamsad:

The things you put up for reward are given to the player that hires your pawn.
What the Pawn owner gets out of it is the Pawn's experience. The more experienced a pawn is at fighting different enemies or travelling in different areas makes a big difference

So....nothing major I have to keep track off beacuse I personally don't need a more experienced pawn because my pawn gets experience at my side as well or is there a deeper meaning behind this? I still don't get it quite^^°

This confuses me as well, if I put my pawn on a quest and put the reward is like 5k gold and 5 people hire my pawn, will I lose 5k gold or 25k gold ?

Basically quest rewards are just incentives for someone to pick your pawn over someone elses. The hope being they will do quests you havent and explore areas you havent. So your pawn knows about the quest and hidden items. Also so they get badges that I think make them do more damage to certain enemy types.

You lose 5k in this case.

yes the questgiver loses those items. for example I listed a quest to use my pawn for a night and a day which would reward the arisen with a salubrious draught. that draught is removed from my inventory and attached to the quest.

I think in return I receive badges and my pawn earns rc / experience? I can't remember really

I'm pretty sure you don't get anything out of it directly. It's just an incentive for people to hire your pawn more.

Provided anyone actually pays attention to the quest. I feel like a lot of people are ignoring it. Been playing with a friend who just hasn't set his, and even though I feel like my quest is pretty good, no one's completed it (out of 5 hires). I set it as "Obtain a Panacea" with the reward being 2 more Panacea. Either Panacea is just too hard to get, or no one's paying attention even though it's free stuff for them.

You want people to hire your pawn, since you get RC just for having it hired.

Thanks you all for clearyifing this.
I actually look trough the pawns quest and take the most rewarding one with me what at most kill 1 cyclops/ogre for x gold is.
I find the idea of hireing a pawn of another player really funny and it is somewhat nice that they do talk to each other and stuff...but sometimes it is also cumbersome with the "I know where a chest/riftstone is in this area"....because I tend to find stuff on my own.
I know that I could play offline but I guess the offline pawns you get from capcom will still do the same so I just ignore it xD

And yes you get RC for it and knowledge of stuff like chests etc. if someone hires your pawn but experience? I don't think so because my pawn is the same level as me at we actually get almost the same time a level up still (apart from the slight headstart I had because of the beginning of the game)

Actually sad that this is the only purpose....they could have done so much more with that pawn system and I assume the first game was the same in this regard....oh well^^

Their pawn gets more knowledge on cyclops, and they probably get rift crystals and pawn gifts because people want to use their pawn for that nice quest reward
Bejo Mar 24, 2024 @ 2:15pm
Experience as in knowledge regarding certain quests or monsters. If you don't want pawns to guide you, hire pawns with disabled quest guide (quest guide = no)
I don't know if setting this for your main pawn would disable it for yourself though

what you posted in your game is your world you still lost whatever item/gold you used for the inquiry, server just check your quest and make a copy state for whomever that use the code for their games/world

your games check for updates from servers regarding quest reward and gifted item but they are limited, so no 100 item gift exploit otherwise streamers get item left and right

friends gets priority for completing your quest and gifting items but seems like it take a while not instant as monster hunter

seems like there are different servers for people, ie i hardly can gift my friend in german. im from oc

probably....

I find the system very good and interesting.

If I understood that correctly, let's now start with the example with the 5 golden beetles:

Since the Pawn can be borrowed by many players at the same time, the quest reward could be doubled...tripled, etc.
So overall, not for each individual.

But let's say I do a quest and the reward is 5x golden Beetles.
I have to pay this ONCE for the quest.

But now 2-3 (or more) players can do this quest and ALL get 5 beetles each.

That would mean: If EVERYONE (or many) did this, we could ALL benefit and earn a lot of Golden Beetles.

CORRECT?

No. You can't put golden beetles out for quest rewards.

OK, too bad.
But that would work for other good items, right?
