Game Key activation question

I am currently in the US but my Steam account region/country set in Vietnam. On a site like Fanatical, its said the game can be activates in the US but not work in Vietnam. So will the key work for me? I am not sure if the key activation region consider my real life region or my Steam region. Please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you.

I assume you keep your steam country in vietnam to keep the prices low? if the key doesnt work for that country then you have to change it.

Yes, cheaper price is the reason. So the key I ordered is not work in the US but doesn't mention if it work in Vietnam, but it said RoW. So I am not sure if the key work on my acc or not. I cant try the key since if I open it, I cant refund. Apparently if I order the key from the US, they will send me a key specific according to the IP address. Not sure how that work.

What you want is a global key and not ROW.
Fanatical doesn't sell global keys.

If the game can activate both in Vietnam and the US. If I order the game with US IP address, will it can be activate on my Steam with region is Vietnam? Or the IP address of where I order the key need to matches with the Steam acc region/country. Or doesn't matter where I order it from, as long as the key does not restrict my Steam current region(Vietnam), it can be activate and play?

If you and your computer are in the US, the US key will work.

I don't think it's gonna work in the OCE region.
