When Can We Download?
I'm trying to download the game, but the option isn't available. I thought we could download on 3/21/24. Does anyone know?

There never was a pre-load confirmed for PC users, unlike the other systems.

Thanks, Lynx. It does say available 3/21/23, so i would assume we can download today. Right? Confused when I'll be able to download and play.

Look at the store page, it tells you when it'll go live.

Capcom released the global release time, also it should be mentioned on Steam.

Thanks, folks. The confusing part is that it's already 3/21/24 (9:15 AM EST - to be exact). There's no hour/minute countdown either. Just says 3/21/24 - again, it's 3/21/24.

What is the purpose of not allowing preloads I wonder? I mean Steam has a built-in feature to still not allow the content to decrypt and be playable until your global release time. So not allowing preloads isn't needed to keep the schedule.

The only thing not allowing preloads accomplishes is to punish people with slower internet (anyone living in a rural area basically) from being able to play the game at release.

I am happy to pay full price for a game like this I have been so excited about. But knowing I will need to wait 24 hours+ after everyone else gets to play because of no preload and having a lame DSL internet does kinda suck. Especially since every other Steam game I've purchased over the last 5+ years has had a preload available.

Oh well I guess. I just don't understand the reasoning here.

Capcom released an official global release time for Steam users, and console users.
Also, Steam mentions the time it releases.

I see the "coming Mar 21, 2020 - This game plans to unlock in approximately 10 hours." Thanks, everyone.

Whats the reasoning behind not having pre-loading? Seems poorly thought out to me, either that or capcom is just not concerned with how players will feel about the decision. Second one seems far more likely imo.

Mine says approximately 10 hrs. I thought the other day I saw something about the game releasing around 1pm EST. That would have been nice so I could download the game during the day and then play at my usual time of around 6pm. Now it won't even be ready to download until 8pm so I guess I'll be playing on Friday. I wonder how slow the download speed will be with everyone trying to download the game at the same time. I usually get right at 60MB.
